Open an Agent’s computer from your terminal

When you’d rather work in a shell than watch a screen, you can. Approve SSH on an Agent’s computer and connect with the keys you already use. Open its desktop when you want to see it, jump it out into a window on your own desktop, and leave the Agent to keep an eye on whatever you leave running.

How it works

The pieces behind the story

Where it runs

Otis has a private Linux computer inside the build box, kept away from the rest of your network. You reach it from the Geyser app, a browser, or your own terminal.

Who does it

You do the hands-on work when you feel like it. Otis watches the long runs and reports back.

What you control

SSH needs both the Agent’s setting and your approval, accepts public keys only, and reaches Otis’s computer, not the machine it runs on.

Running Agents on your own hardware costs nothing, and neither does remote access.

Set it up

Getting set up

Install Geyser Host on the build box and give Otis a computer there.

Turn on “Allow SSH access” for Otis, then approve it with “Approve SSH on this computer.”

Connect with the SSH key you already use, or open Otis’s desktop in the Geyser app.
