Every Agent in Geyser has a computer, in our cloud, inside your Mac or Linux PC, or on the machine itself, and you can open any of them from a Mac, a Linux PC, a browser, or your phone. Watch an Agent work, point at what you mean, or take the controls when it needs a person, then hand them back. It’s included on every plan at no charge.

Most remote access tools assume a person on both ends. With Geyser, the one at the controls is often an Agent, and you drop in when it helps. Follow along while it works. Tap a spot on the screen and tell it what to do there. When a page wants a code from your phone or a choice only you can make, take over.
While you drive, the Agent’s mouse and keys wait for you. Give the controls back and it picks up where you left off. When an Agent needs a hand, it asks, and the request takes you straight to the right screen.

Who can do what
Watching a screen and driving it are two separate permissions
Geyser checks who is allowed to control each computer before it hands out the controls. Everyone else you let in sees a picture they can’t type into, and it doesn’t come with a Take over button.
Access is checked again while a view is open. Take someone off an Agent, remove them from the workspace, or let a support grant run out, and their view closes.

In the Geyser app, jump an Agent out of the sidebar and its computer opens in a window of its own, or pull out one app and it sits on your desktop like any other. Switch between an Agent’s windows without reconnecting.
Drag files onto an Agent’s computer and drag its work back out to yours. Paste text from your clipboard straight into the Agent’s desktop.

An Agent can keep an eye on the screens for you
Ask an Agent to watch a window, a log, or a coding session on any of your computers, and it tells you when something changes or needs you. You set what it can see and for how long, and the person at a Host decides what that computer shares.
Watching never lets an Agent click or type. Doing that takes separate permission, and anything over your limits still waits for your approval.

How the connection works
Your own private network
Each workspace gets a private network of its own, set up for you. Your computers reach each other over it, and hosted computers connect through encrypted tunnels.
Live video
Screens stream as live video, with hardware encoding on Macs, so scrolling and typing keep up. The pointer travels separately from the picture.
Walled off from your network
Agents’ computers on your Mac or Linux PC reach the internet but stay off your home network, so your router, printers, and shared drives are out of reach.
SSH when you want a shell
SSH needs both the Agent’s setting and your approval, accepts your existing public keys, and reaches the Agent’s computer, not the Mac or PC it runs on.

Questions about remote access
Is remote access really free?
Yes. Opening and controlling the computers in your workspace is included on every plan, including the free one, and running Agents on your own computers costs nothing.
Which computers can I reach?
Every Agent’s computer in your workspace: the ones in our cloud, the private computers running inside your Macs and Linux PCs, and any Mac or Linux PC you’ve turned into an Agent’s home with “Use this computer as an Agent.” The computers in our cloud and inside your machines run Linux.
Can I use it from Windows?
Yes, from any web browser. The Geyser app runs on Mac, Linux, iPhone, and iPad, and the browser opens the same screens on everything else, your phone included.
What’s the difference between watching and driving?
Watching shows you the live screen. Driving adds the mouse, keyboard, and file transfers, and only the people allowed to control that computer get it. An Agent that can watch a screen still needs separate permission to act on it.
Can Geyser staff see my screen?
Only if your workspace Owner approves a support grant, which names who, why, and for how long. Even then, support can only watch.
What happens when an Agent’s computer is on my Mac?
The Agent gets a private Linux computer running inside your Mac, walled off from your own files, keys, and sign-ins, and from the rest of your home network. You open it like any other computer in your workspace.
