Use case · Agentic remote access

Ask the Mac at home to do something while you’re out

Switch on “Reach this Mac from anywhere” in Geyser Host and your Mac shows up in your workspace, with no ports to open and no IP address to remember. From your phone or any browser, open its screen and take the controls yourself. Or give the Mac’s own Agent an AI with “Choose how it thinks”, let it use the screen, and ask it to do the job there while you watch.

“Tell me what you need from this Mac and I’ll do it on the screen while you watch from your phone.”

Ari

The renovation budget was on the iMac at home and the contractor was waiting. You asked from your phone, and the answer was in the chat a minute later.

A budget question, away from home
  1. 10:12 am

“Open the renovation budget on the iMac. What did we set aside for the kitchen, and how much is left?”

  2. 10:12 am

Opens the spreadsheet in Numbers on the iMac’s screen while you watch from your phone.

  3. 10:13 am

“The kitchen budget is $18,500. You’ve spent $11,240, so $7,260 is left.”

  4. 10:20 am

The contractor quotes $2,900 for the counters, and you ask Ari to add it as a new row.

  5. 10:21 am

“I’ve added the counters at $2,900, which leaves $4,360. Shall I save the spreadsheet?”

How it works

The pieces behind the story

Where it runs

Geyser Host connects the iMac to your workspace’s own private network, with nothing to set up on your router. Your Macs and Linux PCs can be reached this way.

Who does it

Ari is the iMac’s own Agent and works on its real screen. Until you choose how Ari thinks, no AI touches the computer.

What you control

Ari uses the screen only with your consent and the screen permission you give it, and only the people allowed to control the iMac can take over.

Remote access is included on every plan at no charge, and running an Agent on your own computer costs nothing.
